What Actually Drives Deep Cleaning Cost in Los Angeles

A lot of people call me expecting a flat rate. I get it. You want to budget, not play phone tag. But deep cleaning cost in Los Angeles is not a one-size number, and I would rather explain why than throw out a figure that ends up being wrong for your home.

Here is the honest breakdown of what moves the price up or down, what you get in a standard deep clean, and what costs extra if you need it.

The Biggest Factors That Affect Your Price

Size of the Home

Square footage is the single biggest driver. A one-bedroom apartment in Glendale takes roughly half the time of a four-bedroom house in Pasadena. More rooms, more bathrooms, more surfaces equals more labour hours, which means a higher total.

Current Condition

This matters more than most people expect. A home that gets regular standard cleaning every two weeks is in decent shape going in. A home that has not been cleaned in six months, or has pet hair ground into the carpet and grease built up on the stovetop, takes significantly longer. We are not judging. We have seen it all across Los Angeles County. We just need to account for the time.

Frequency of Service

A one-time deep clean on a neglected home costs more than a deep clean on a home we already maintain. If you book recurring standard cleaning with us after the initial deep clean, the ongoing cost drops because we are maintaining rather than restoring.

Number of Bathrooms and Kitchens

Bathrooms and kitchens are the most labour-intensive rooms in any home. Grout scrubbing, limescale removal, cleaning inside the oven, degreasing range hoods. These take time. A home with three full bathrooms will cost more than a home with one, full stop.

Add-Ons You Select

More on these below, but anything outside the standard scope adds time and cost.

What Is Included in a Standard Deep Clean

When we do a deep cleaning for a home in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, or anywhere else in LA County, here is what is covered as standard:

  • All rooms: Dusting ceiling fans, light fixtures, baseboards, window sills, and door frames
  • Kitchen: Cleaning inside the microwave, degreasing the stovetop and range hood, wiping cabinet exteriors, cleaning the sink and faucet thoroughly
  • Bathrooms: Scrubbing tile grout, descaling fixtures, cleaning inside the toilet thoroughly, wiping mirrors and all surfaces
  • Floors: Vacuuming and mopping all hard floors, vacuuming carpets
  • Bedrooms and living areas: Wiping down all furniture surfaces, cleaning light switches and door handles, removing cobwebs from corners

This is a proper top-to-bottom clean, not a quick wipe-down. It is what we recommend before moving into a new home, when preparing a property for sale in Long Beach or Burbank, or when a home just needs a reset after months of regular use.

What Counts as an Add-On

These are not included in the base deep clean and are priced separately when you request them:

  • Inside the oven: A full oven detail with rack removal takes extra time and product
  • Inside the refrigerator: Emptying, wiping every shelf and drawer, and deodorising
  • Interior windows: Wiping glass surfaces on the inside of the home
  • Laundry: Running loads, folding, or putting away
  • Wall spot cleaning: Scuff marks, fingerprints, crayon, that kind of thing
  • Garage cleaning
  • Post-construction cleanup: Dust from renovation or remodel work is a different scope entirely and is quoted separately. We handle post-construction cleaning regularly across Los Angeles and the surrounding cities, but it requires its own conversation.

Move-In, Move-Out, and Airbnb Turnovers

These are closely related to deep cleaning but have their own scope. A move-out clean in a Pasadena rental, for example, often needs inside-cabinet cleaning, appliance detailing, and wall wiping because the landlord or new tenant expects the place to look vacant-ready. An Airbnb turnover in Santa Monica is fast-paced and focused on linen changes, restocking, and surface-level refresh between guests. We offer all of these as separate services, and the pricing for each is quoted based on the specifics of the property.
