Slip-Side Boat Detailing from Marina del Rey to San Pedro

Southern California boating is year-round, which means salt film, UV oxidation, and slip grime never take a season off either. We run recurring wash programs and full details at the dock, using biodegradable, phosphate-free products that comply with California Clean Marina requirements - and we carry the insurance certificates marinas require of outside vendors, with the marina named as additional insured.

Marina del Rey

The largest man-made small-craft harbor in North America, with over 4,600 slips - and a large share of absentee owners. Our monthly wash-plus-check program keeps the boat guest-ready between your visits, and we text photos when the job is done.

King Harbor, Redondo Beach

Our home marina - Spotless Scrubbers is based in Redondo Beach, so King Harbor boats get our tightest scheduling and fastest turnaround, from weekly wash-downs to full oxidation corrections.

Long Beach: Alamitos Bay and Shoreline

Alamitos Bay Marina alone holds 1,600+ slips. We handle recurring washes, teak care, and pre-parade details - Naples Island boat parade season books out early, so December-ready boats get scheduled in November.

San Pedro and Cabrillo Way

Larger sport-fishers and cruisers in the Port of LA marinas. Engine bay degreasing, non-skid deck scrubs, and interior extraction for boats that fish hard and need more than a rinse.

Huntington Harbour and Newport

We cover the Orange County harbors for detail work and brokerage sale-prep - a full exterior correction and interior detail before listing photos consistently pays for itself in the sale price.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does boat & yacht detailing cost?

Our boat & yacht detailing typically ranges from $150 - $6,500, depending on the size of the space and the scope of work. We provide a free, no-obligation quote before every job so there are no surprises.

How long does boat & yacht detailing take?

Most boat & yacht detailing appointments take between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the size of the space and the level of detail required. We will give you a time estimate when you book so you can plan your day.

How often should I get boat & yacht detailing?

It depends on your needs. Many customers book boat & yacht detailing on a recurring basis - weekly, biweekly, or monthly - to keep their space consistently clean. For one-time needs, a single session works great too. We can help you decide when you call.

What areas do you serve for boat & yacht detailing?

We offer boat & yacht detailing across the South Bay and Westside of Los Angeles, including Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, El Segundo, Culver City, Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, and nearby Los Angeles neighborhoods. Check our service area page or call (424) 677-1146 to confirm.

How much does boat detailing cost per foot?

Marine detailing is priced per foot of boat length. As a guide: a maintenance wash runs about $5 to $10 per foot, a wash and wax $15 to $25 per foot, a machine compound, polish, and wax for oxidized gelcoat $35 to $60 per foot, and heavy oxidation restoration more. So a 30-foot boat's wash-and-wax lands around $450 to $750, and a full restoration on a neglected 40-footer can run $3,500 to $6,500. Text (424) 677-1146 with your boat's length, condition, and marina for an exact quote.

Do you offer weekly or monthly boat washing programs?

Yes - recurring dockside wash programs are the core of what we do. Most owners land on twice-monthly or monthly washes, which keeps salt and scum from ever building to the point of needing a restoration. Program customers get priority scheduling and a discounted per-foot rate, typically $10 to $20 per foot per month depending on frequency.

Can you clean my boat if I'm not there?

Yes, and for most of our Marina del Rey customers that is the norm. We coordinate slip access with you or your dockmaster once, then service the boat on schedule and send photos when it's done. We are insured, with a COI available naming your marina as additional insured.

Are your products safe for the water?

Yes. California marinas require it and we take it seriously: biodegradable, phosphate-free wash products, no bleach or solvent runoff to the water, in line with the California Clean Marina program. Oxidation and coating work is contained and managed the same way.

How often should a boat in a SoCal marina be washed and waxed?

Wash every two to four weeks - salt film and slip grime build fast in a year-round boating climate - and wax or seal the gelcoat every four to six months to keep UV oxidation from ever taking hold. It is far cheaper to protect gelcoat than to restore it: a year of washes costs less than one heavy compound job.

Do you do underwater hull cleaning?

Bottom cleaning below the waterline is diver work, and we coordinate it with trusted local dive services alongside your topside program so the whole boat is handled through one call. Everything from the waterline up - hull sides, decks, brightwork, canvas, interior - is us.
